1. How long have you worked in the industry?
I started in the industry while I was at university in early 2014 booking and promoting events through my student’s union and acting as a venue rep during the events themselves, I’ve been involved in crewing since I graduated and moved back to Plymouth in 2016 with my first show being Rod Stewart in Plymouth argyle.
2. Describe a typical day in your job?
A typical day for me is running jobs within the Bristol area be that a load in and out helping bands with their equipment or assisting one of our partner venues with venue change around getting them ready for any events they are hosting.
3. What’s the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Running stadiums within the summer, being responsible for 100’s of crew across multiple days going from an empty pitch to a full stage build and production and then back to an empty pitch. Seeing the results of me and my teams hard work on fans faces during the show.
4. What do you enjoy the most about working at 24/7 event crew?
The community built within the crew, the crew themselves are very supportive and are always there for each other.
5. Do you enjoy any hobbies outside of work?
Attending live events with my partner and friends, being able to take a break from working events to attend and have fun with those close to me also playing video games with other members of the crew blowing off steam with them after long weeks.
6. What are you looking forward to the most this year?
The Stadium run is a highlight of my year most years or getting back out to Saudi Arabia to work on some very fun shows out in the Middle East.
