Welcome Back to our Blog Series, Today we Introduce Leon Cruse our Cardiff Crew Chief, Leon is one of our Cardiff crew chiefs, running our crews at the Principality Stadium and Swansea Arena. Leading from the front, Leon sets an example across the whole crew

1.How long have you worked in the industry? 

I have worked in the industry since the new BMW mini was launched it was my first job I was 15 years old I have been doing this job for 27 years this year. Starting with Rock City in 2005 with my first stadium show being Madonna in 2006 at  Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium

2.Describe a typical day in your job?

A typical day in my job is unloading trucks lots of heavy and awkward lifting, using  technical skills when fitting/building all aspects of a stage build

3.What’s the most rewarding aspect of your role?

I like to be involved is the show changes and band change overs and too see the 1000s of people enjoying things you helped make 

4.What do you enjoy the most about working at a 24/7 event crew?

Always something new and different new bands/new equipment new memories for people

5.Do you enjoy any hobbies outside of work?

I love to spend time with my family and if I get the chance some downhill mountain biking. I love to pull a good wheelie lol 

6.What are you looking forward to the most this year?

I look forward to the summer and the stadium gigs where I can look after the job and jobs that I love most.
