Welcome back to our Blog Series
Today we Introduce Becky our Accounts Manager She is a key member of our team, Becky heads up the accounts, looking after payroll and invoicing.
1. How long have you worked in the industry?
I’ve been a bookkeeper for 13 years and the last 5 of those years I’ve worked in the events industry.
2. Describe a typical day in your job?
I handle the accounts and payroll for the company, so a typical day can involve things like sending invoices, running the payroll or providing financial reports for the directors. Basically, anything that involves numbers or spreadsheets!
3. What’s the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I’m a massive geek, so I love it when all the figures on my spreadsheets match up, or when my graphs show what I predicted they would!! 😊
4. What do you enjoy the most about working at 24/7 event crew?
There’s lots of variety in my job so I always have new challenges and my role keeps developing. I also like being able to name drop to my friends and family – – – “I had to do invoicing for Take That and Beyoncé this week!” It sounds very show-biz for an accountant!!
5. Do you enjoy any hobbies outside of work?
I love music. I play the cello and I’m learning the Irish Bouzouki. I also love going for walks in the countryside with my family and my dog.
6. What are you looking forward to the most this year?
When the weather gets better and the days get longer so I can start spending more time outdoors. Maybe I’ll even get back to cycling to work! 😬
