Our experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

In recent years, 24/7 Event Crew have been working on some larger projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside various crew suppliers. During that time, we have developed a working partnership with these companies to provide a comprehensive production and site crew service throughout the Kingdom for live events, film and sport backed up by our own UK crew management team.

With shows and events throughout the Kingdom growing in size and content the need for experience crews is growing. With that in mind, 24/7 Event Crew will be opening up an office and training school in Riyadh in the summer of 2023 with the commitment to train and mentor our own event crew to enable us to provide skilled and semi-skilled manpower for a wide variety of events, all managed by our experienced English speaking crew chiefs and team leaders.

We have already supplied crew on some of the largest and prestigious productions in the KSA, the largest of course being MDL Beast’s Soundstorm event (see news). We have also worked on Formula E and Formula 1 fan zone stages and WWE shows in both Riyadh and Jeddah.

SOUNDSTORM 2022!

Over 750,000 attended the 3-day festival which saw 200 artists producing hundreds of hours of amazing live music! Thousands of drones took to the sky to put on a breathtaking light display. Alongside them were an astonishing 50+ individual pyro flames including one record breaking 75 ft flame!

Now, Electronic Dance Music may not be for everyone but nobody can deny the beauty of the main stage and accompanying lights show!

24/7 had a huge role to play in the production of Soundstorm with crew and crew chiefs assisting on the main stage. Most notably was their coverage of the “Big Beast” stage, where our crew assisted with all aspects of the build for six weeks. In total, 24/7, alongside our local crew partners, supplied over 50 crew daily, spanning two months, amounting to nearly 40,000 hours of labour. The mainstage comprised of a staggering 700 tons of equipment, arriving in 67 x 40ft containers weighing 10 tons each. There were an additional nine deliveries of air freight weighing 2 tons each, including 7 tons of cameras!

Formula 1 & Formula E 2023

2 of racing’s most iconic events!

The e-Prix Diriyah is one of the most anticipated races in the Formula E calendar, with the unique street circuit and stunning backdrop of the ancient city providing a memorable setting for the action. The race is also significant for its role in promoting sustainability, with Formula E being the world’s first fully electric racing series.

Formula E is unique in its focus on sustainability and innovation, with the goal of promoting electric mobility and advancing the development of electric vehicle technology. The series features races on street circuits in cities around the world, and has attracted some of the top drivers and teams from the world of motorsport.

Our role in this amazing event was to build a truly beautiful after party! As many of you know, after these fantastic events artists come and perform, and to do so they need a stage. Over the course of three weeks, our team of handpicked crew helped build the stage and teach the local crew along the way. The build and break lasted approximately 1000 hours, and we loved every second of it!

Crown Jewel Wrestling

Crown Jewel 2022 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). It took place on October 2021, at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Crown Jewel 2021 was the fourth edition of the event, which has been held annually in Saudi Arabia since 2018. It featured some of WWE’s biggest stars and was broadcast live on pay-per-view around the world.

This is one of our crew favorite events over in Saudi, as we’ve done our fair share of wrestling rings back in the UK. We sent a small, multi-skilled team to aid Showstars on this build. They worked nearly 1000 hours on this, but it didn’t feel like it as they enjoyed it so much.
